Cryptocurrency payment changes
We hereby inform you that on December 30th 2020 BitPay Crypto payment processor unilaterally changed the Terms of Service and started requiring BitPay ID for all kinds of payments.
A BitPay ID is now required of all of our customers paying with BitPay, due to recent changes in the regulatory environment. This is a one-time, easy process that collects your basic identity information so that you can continue using BitPay.
Due to being a privacy-aware company, we came up with a solution to this invasive practice.
From 2021 you can pay Bitcoin and soon other cryptocurrencies to ServerAstra directly. You are welcome to use new payment gateway CryptoAstra on the invoice to pay now.
You can still use BitPay if you are ready to get the new BitPay ID to use their services.
At this moment CryptoAstra system is working in manual mode for verification of payments. This means that after payment, we request users to supply Bitcoin network transaction ID in a new ticket.
We will update the module with automation as soon as all the processing logic is verified.
Due to the ongoing development of Crypto payment solution, the new billing system's delivery got delayed for three more weeks.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding!
